This is my first semester back in a school after a very long hiatus.� The times sure have changed.�

In the past I�have blogged to vent, to let family and friends of recent events, and just as a creative outlet.� As I�began thinking about the topic of education and blogging I�thought of it in a whole new context.�

Blogging seems to open up a route for creativity as well as practicality.�� The ability to communicate ideas and allow for a response between teacher and students is very positive.� Also, any time you can introduce writing into the classroom, it is a benefit.�

The practical side of� is the ability to relay classroom information.� Assignment instructions, project deadlines, all can be communicated to each student.� Blogging seems to be something even early education students are aware of and use.� Introducing something�already familiar to students in the educational arena will lead to more enthusiasm in the classroom.

It also seems to assist in distance learning as well.� Allowing the same time of feed back you would receive in a classroom setting.�

Education has to blend with technology.�
